Calculations are a way of attempting to normalise versus debating. If you don't know what that means - Versus Debating is a significantly more formalised version of playground arguments such as the infamous Superman vs. Goku question. A calculation is an examination of what a feat of strength or speed would actually mean. How heavy is the boulder Goku lifts? How fast is Superman flying? And so on.
